Lap Dogs

Anytime someone comes to our house for a visit, they are bound to experience the “Lap Dog”.   Lap Dogs have a natural born instinct (and obligation, of course) to climb into your lap, if you dare to sit down.  Afterall, it is really their house, we just live here so we can have the privilige of taking care of them.  

As you can see, my Dad has experienced this first-hand when he reclined one afternoon to watch the golf match on TV.   Although dachshunds are proned to back problems (both Shadow and Simon have been on medication for their backs at one time or another) it is impossible to keep them from jumping up to take their post on an unsuspecting lap.

Why only two doxies, you ask?  Well, this photo was taken before we adopted Keno.  So, next time my Dad comes to visit, he’ll have to make room for one more!
